There are artists who follow the contours of a scene, and then there are artists who seem to bend it around their own instincts. Resonant Language belongs firmly in the second group. His music feels hyper-fixated, never static, built from detailed low-end design, and rhythmic ideas that seem to shape-shift as they hit. One of those rare aesthetics that feels engineered with intent, but still volatile—like a controlled demolition.
To celebrate the release of his new EP, Eviscerate, we’ve teamed up with him for 18 free samples shaped by that same approach.

Over the last decade, Resonant Language has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in underground bass music. With each release consistently pushing towards something more physical, more alien, and more finely tuned than the expected language of the genre. All of this has come to a head with Eviscerate.
His latest EP feels stripped down in all the right ways. Focused, forceful, and uncompromising in its execution. Eviscerate reifies the sonic world Resonant Language has been shaping for years. The kind of release that rewards close listening, but also hits immediately.
Not only have we been long time fans of his, but he's also worked with us on some of Current's Presets. That confluence made it a natural moment for us to collaborate. Read on as we give our track by track impressions of the new EP, and then see below how you can support Resonant Language directly.
Exenterate
Exenterate sets the stage for what we can expect from this EP. Intricate sound design, a flowing composition, and above all—how hard the subs can hit you emotionally, and physically.
Burnout
Driven by an arpeggiated lead and the tidal push and pull of the beat building, Burnout stands out with it's shaking bass motif, liquid percussion and mysterious aura.
Replicant
Replicant sits in a fragmented space, pulling in sound space and texture to create something driving from a collection of seemingly disparate pieces. Climaxing in an arp driven freakout of an outro that lands somewhere between computer music and Gamelan.
Weird Drum
Propelled by acid, breaks, and the fusion of old and new—Weird Drum bridges two opposite poles of dance music to create something exciting, intense and immediate.
Eviscerate
The title (and final) track serves as the release to the entire ep. Supported by masterful drum programming and a vocal chop that could be it's own chorus, Eviscerate ends its namesake ep with a bang.
