Rift is built to take distortion further. Multi-polar processing, tune-able feedback, and flexible modulation, Rift moves from focused harmonic shaping to full-on, experimental territories in just a few moves.

To help you get a feel for what it can actually do in a session, we pulled together a set of tutorials that show Rift in action on bass, drums, leads, and more. You’ll see how different producers push the drive stages, set up movement with modulation, and use the multi-band controls to keep things musical while still going heavy.

Kuren

Watch Kuren utilize Rift's randomization to create infinite bass sounds for his tracks. Stay until the end to see how he uses this same trick in reverse to completely reshape his sound design.

Stranjah

Stranjah offers a perfect comprehensive tutorial of all of Rift's capabilities. This is perfect if you haven't had a chance to dive into the plugin and are looking for a place to start.

ArtFX

ArtFX takes us through all of the new functions added in Rift's 2.0 update. This includes endless modulation points as well as a multiband filter for even tighter control of your sounds.

Kermode

Kermode gives us a breakdown of his track "10 Feet Tall." In the video he gives us an advanced look at his main bass sounds showing us how Rift elevates a simple patch into on of the core elements of his composition.

Fearful

Fearful takes a simple unison bass and brings it to life with a processing chain built almost entirely out Rift. Watch him take single sustained bass patches and transform them into an evolving bed for his tracks.

Idle Thoughts

In this tutorial Idle Thoughts finds a completely new sound by making use of Rift's modulation curves. He creates a sequenced distortion that transforms a relatively simple patch into acid-like territory.

Databroth

If you're not interested in a conventional tutorial check out this one from Databroth. In this video, he spends an uninterrupted hour creating patches from scratch.

Use these tutorials as a starting point, then take the same ideas back into your own projects and push them further.

Right now, you can grab Rift for 50% off, or pick it up as part of our Black Friday Bundle if you want Evoke and Current to go with it.
