The Stream
What's going on
Hey everyone, Jake here from Minimal Audio. Today is an amazing day for our team because we've just released our new tool for downloading and organizing samples called Stream!
Stream is an incredible new way to interact with our sample library and find the specific sounds that you're looking for. We've spent thousands of hours creating, tagging, and designing everything ourselves from scratch, and that's because we view the stream as core to what our vision is for Minimal Audio moving forward.
But before we dive into that, I want to share a little bit about our company. Minimal Audio has always been and will continue to be a company focused on enhancing the existing workflows of musicians. It was founded by three friends who met through music, and we continue to be a young team of musicians determined to create the tools we love.
We want to improve your existing workflows
People sometimes assume that Minimal Audio represents an aesthetic or a sound, but that's not the case.
Minimal Audio represents how we get inspired to make music. We don't want to be disruptive; in fact, we want to be invisible. We want to be so effective, elegant, and most of all performant that using our products feels like second nature in your music production process.
We don't want to replace your DAW, and we don't want to see music production move into the cloud. We want you to stay in the flow with your favorite tools and sounds right at your fingertips.
So what does that mean for you?

The Vision
Surprise!
What if I told you that all the products we've previously released are part of a larger product that will be releasing later this year?
What if we had a synthesizer that combined all of our favorite types of synthesis and had access to our stream?
What if we could create a new preset on a Monday and have it available to everyone by Tuesday?
What if all of our effects were contained within a single plugin so that when we added a new effect, you would instantly receive it?
These are the questions we've been asking ourselves a lot at Minimal Audio over the past two years, and I am pleased to say that the launch of Stream is the first step in making that happen.
With Stream, we'll be able to build and support:
- An incredible new way to explore our sounds
- A way to make our new sounds & presets accessible in your DAW
- A way to provide automatic updates and more to our plugins
- The base to expand our company into so much more
